Situated in the midst of Montana’s Valley of the Moon, this futuristic, über-modern ranch was designed by Argentinean industrial designer and architect Emilio Ambasz, one of the chief pioneers of “green” architecture. The estate’s five-bedroom, 10,000-square-foot main house is partly underground, having been integrated into one of the Valley’s rolling hillsides.

Currently on the market for $12.5 million, the surreal, out-of-this-world property comes with 1,400 acres of forest dotted with trout-filled creeks, and a 1,800-square-foot, glass-encased guesthouse. It also touts a remarkable art gallery also built into a hill, which boasts a circular sculpture garden as an entrance, along with a James Turrell sculpture.
